50 years in the making

Chella Restaurant was first opened in Tehran 50 years ago by the father of one of the owners of the new restaurant. Located on Manoochehri, the street where the British Embassy was located, the name has a long history and was a well known local venue.

The restaurant is a joint venture between Ara Chobanian and Chef Keyvan Barzegar.

Ara is a Christian and has been in the UK for 35 years. He has 12 years successful experience in the catering business and is looking forward to the latest restaurant venture mixing traditional Persian food with a modern cosmopolitan atmosphere.
